In 2022, the Vancouver Food Bank held a virtual food drive pilot project. It was such a success that Food Banks BC has generously expanded the program and is offering small food banks (such as ours!) the chance to try out the platform free of charge. We're excited to try it out, and hope you will consider contributing!

Over the past year, we have experienced unprecedented growth in the number of households using the community pantry. We are here for any Mayne Islander whose grocery needs are not easily met, and are very grateful that we are able to contribute to the community in this way - but we can't do it alone! Do to our standing relationships with farmers and suppliers, we are able to make financial contributions go significantly farther than donations of food (for example - we receive wholesale prices from Coldstar, plus an additional discount due to be a food bank on many items, or when we order from Michell's Farm they offer us a great deal and often donate more produce when we're picking up our order).
