Hi everyone,Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

Cash Donations

Cash donations help The Link Food Centre purchase the most needed dry goods at bulk discount prices, and fresh food like milk, eggs, and produce - ensuring the Food Centre supports healthy diets.

About Food Insecurity
Food insecurity applies to individuals, couples and families who cannot afford the quality and quantity of food they need to avoid hunger. This can range from having to buy exclusively low-cost or low-nutrition foods or simply not being able to afford groceries at all.

There were over 2 million visits to food banks in Canada in March 2024 - the highest number in history.

About the Link Food Centre
The Link Food Centre is part of the Lakes District Family Enhancement Society and has been active in our community for over 30 years. Well over 1100 people are supported with emergency food assistance each year and this number continues to rise. That is equivalent to 1 in 5 people in the area.

Together we are making a difference.

Last year over 200 families received a food hamper, and the demand is expected to increase this year.

Online donations are also tax-deductible. Please check your email inbox or spam folder for an automated tax receipt once your donation is successfully processed.

Thank you in advance for supporting my Virtual Food Drive and for ensuring that our communities have access to fresh and healthy food.
