Recently I signed up to host a Virtual Food Drive in support of Lake Country Food Bank. They play an important role in our community, and are seeing a big increase in the need for their service. They really could use our help. Donations to the food bank support children, families, seniors, and individuals, many who just need a helping hand to get them through a difficult period in their lives.
Why a virtual food drive? Financial donations allow the food bank to menu plan, and ensure clients are receiving healthy, fresh food that also takes into account any dietary needs they may have. Food banks have greater buying power too so for every dollar donated, they can turn it into three dollars.
